Candidates are expected to apply for a particular specialization based on their interest, aptitude, and career aspirations.
Since ASoSEs are Specialised schools, It’s essential that the applicants possess a minimum qualifying aptitude in the particular domain of their interest. In light of this, there will be a qualifying score for each specialisation. Qualifying cut-off score* refers to the minimum marks that a candidate requires to qualify for admission in ASoSE. The cut off for each specialisation will be decided by SoSE.
Note: There are two types of cut-offs: the admission cut off which is the last score point at which admission will be given to a student based on the availability of seats and the qualifying cut off which is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score to be eligible for admission.
A) Caste Category Following reservation will be applied for the allocation of seats: -
OBC – 27%
SC – 15%
ST – 7.5%
CWSN – 3%
The number of seats shall be rounded off to the nearest whole number (<=0.5 shall be rounded off to 0 and >0.5 shall be rounded off to 1)
In case the number of applications or number of students who have scored the eligibility cut off for a given category is lesser than the number of reserved seats for that category, the remaining seats will be allocated to the next reserved category as per Government of NCT norms.
B) Previous School
