INTRODUCTION

The Delhi govt is building the ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School’ on 14 acres of land in Jharoda Kalan, where students will be trained for the armed forces. The fees for the school will be free and will have separate hostels for boys and girls.


MISSION

The students who will be selected for the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School will be given army related training.

Those who are aiming at National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) or Air Force or any other form of armed forces training, would find this school extremely beneficial.

Age Limit For 2025 Exam

  • For Class IX – 13 to 15 years. Applicant should be born between following dates – 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2011 (Both Dates inclusive).
  • For Class XI – 15 to 17 years. Student should be born between 01 April 2007 to 31 March 2009 (Both Dates inclusive)..

Inviting applications for admissions for the following streams

  1. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) – Class 9
  2. Humanities – Class 9
  3. Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) – Class 9
  4. High-End 21st Century Schools (HE21) – Class 9
  5. SBS Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS) – Class 9

Candidates are expected to apply for a particular specialization based on their interest, aptitude, and career aspirations.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Residence & previous school
    Ambedkar SoSE admissions are open for students who are residents of NCT of Delhi (with a valid address proof) and are studying in a recognized school of NCT of Delhi.Both the residence and school conditions need to be met to be eligible for admissions in ASoSEs.
    Note: Students currently enrolled in class 9th or above in the academic year 22-23 are not eligible to apply for admissions.
  2. Age limit
    *Age relaxation is applicable as per Directorate of Education, government of NCT of Delhi norms.
    ● Regular students currently enrolled in class 8th(academic session 22-23) in any recognised school of Delhi are eligible to apply irrespective of age.
  3. Reservation certificate
    Candidates applying under the reserved categories should have a valid certificate approved by the Government of NCT of Delhi. Selected applicants will have to submit their certificate at the time of admission.
    In case of OBC certificate (non-creamy layer), only certificates issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi will be considered valid. Applicants will have to produce their category certificate at the time of admission failing which the admission offer will be canceled.

Qualifying cut off score:

Since ASoSEs are Specialised schools, It’s essential that the applicants possess a minimum qualifying aptitude in the particular domain of their interest. In light of this, there will be a qualifying score for each specialisation. Qualifying cut-off score* refers to the minimum marks that a candidate requires to qualify for admission in ASoSE. The cut off for each specialisation will be decided by SoSE.

Note: There are two types of cut-offs: the admission cut off which is the last score point at which admission will be given to a student based on the availability of seats and the qualifying cut off which is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score to be eligible for admission.

Reservations

A) Caste Category Following reservation will be applied for the allocation of seats: -
OBC – 27%
SC – 15%
ST – 7.5%
CWSN – 3%

The number of seats shall be rounded off to the nearest whole number (<=0.5 shall be rounded off to 0 and >0.5 shall be rounded off to 1)
In case the number of applications or number of students who have scored the eligibility cut off for a given category is lesser than the number of reserved seats for that category, the remaining seats will be allocated to the next reserved category as per Government of NCT norms.
B) Previous School
At least 50% seats will be allocated to Delhi Government/Government aided school students in each specialisation.

Application Procedure:

Candidate can apply ‘ONLINE’ only through official website http://edudel.nic.in/SoSE

Step 1: Register with basic details and note down the system generated Registration ID and password, received on your email and phone number.
Please save this Registration ID and password as these will be used to complete the remaining steps of the application process and will also be required for all future correspondence.

Step 2: Log into the portal with your Registration ID and password.
You may click on ‘Forgot Password’ or ‘Forgot Registration ID’ in case you forget your password or Registration ID.

Step 3: Click on the apply now button once you log-in and fill the application form.

Step 4: Upload scanned images of recent photograph and signature of the candidate
The recent photograph should be colored or black/white (clear contrast).
Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/ JPEG format.
Size of the scanned photograph and signature should be maximum 200 KB.

Step 5: Select the specialisation(s) you wish you to apply for and fill three campus preferences for each of the specialisation(s) accordingly.
Note: We offer five specialisations (STEM, HE21, PVA, Humanities and AFPS). A candidate can apply for a maximum of three specialisations.

Step 6: Review all information thoroughly before submitting your application. Please ensure you have read all the instructions mentioned in the form and filled your information accordingly.
You can edit your preferences or your choices till the last date of application but no changes will be allowed after the last date.
