Jammu and Kashmir Sainik School, Manasbal is an English Medium
residential School for Boys providing public school education of a high
standard.
The School is run by J&K Sainik School Society and is affiliated to the
Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi for all India Secondary
and Senior School Certificate Examinations.
The Foundation Stone of the School was laid on October 29th, 1980 by Late
Jenab Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, The School started functioning from
September 14th, 1981.
The aim of the school is to prepare boys academically and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy and others walks of life. A sound character, team spirit, dedication to purpose, a patriotic outlook and the desire to serve the country with efficiency are the qualities sought to be promoted.
The motto of the school is "Through Toil to the Stars"
