INTRODUCTION

The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions with a mission to improve equity and quality in education by developing and administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.

NTA has created a system that is promoting teaching (by teachers), learning (by students), and assessment (by parents and institutions). NTA strongly believes in the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and security of assessments. To practice these values, NTA is constantly engaging with its stakeholders, viz. students, parents, teachers, experts, and partner institutions

Exam Notification

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) Exam will be Conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) in two sessions: January and April 2025

Important Dates:

  1. Release of Notification:- Likely in November 2024.
  2. Start of Application Process:- Expected in November 2024
  3. Last Date to Apply:- December 2024 for the January session and March 2025 for the April session.
  4. Correction Window for Application Form:-December 2024(January Session)and March 2025(April Session).
  5. Exam Date:- (January Session) Typically held in the second to third week of January 2025
  6. Result Declaration:- January Session: Expected by the last week of January 2025.

The dates of Advance Intimation of Examination City, downloading of Admit Cards, and declaration of Result will be displayed on JEE (Main) portal in due course.

The candidates are not allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Any candidate with more than one Application Number will be treated as UFM (Unfair Means), even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against that Candidate.

The candidates who have already registered for Session 1 are not required to register again.

Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) – 2025 Details

JEE Advanced 2025 ADMISSIONS

Important dates for admission
Online Registration: Starts in the fourth week of April 2025
Last Date for Fee Payment: First week of June 2025
Admit Card Availability:Third week of June 2025
Exam Date: Fourth week of June 2025
Result Declaration: June 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed their class 12 exams in 2023 or 2024 or be appearing in 2025. There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam.

Exam Pattern

  1. Paper 1(B.E/ B.Tech):90 question (30 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)with a total of 300 marks.Question will included both multiple- choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value based questions.
  2. Paper 2A (B.Arch)& 2B(B.Planning): The Exam includes sections on Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing/Planning with a total of 82 or 105 question depending on the course.

Application Fees

The Application Fees for JEE Main 2025 varies depending on the candidate's category and the location of the exam center (India or outside India).Here are the details:


For Exam Centers in India
  1. General Male Candidates: Rs-1000/- for single paper (B.E/ B.Tech, B.Arch, or B.Planning)
  2. General Female Candidates: Rs-800/- for a single paper
  3. (Gen-EWS/OBC)(NCL) Male Candidates: Rs:-900/- for a single paper
  4. (Gen/EWS/OBC)(NCL) Female Candidates: Rs:-800 for a single paper
  5. SC/ST/PWD/Transgender Candidates: Rs:-500 for a single paper
For Exam Centers Outside India
  1. General Male Candidates: Rs-5000/- for single paper (B.E/ B.Tech, B.Arch, or B.Planning)
  2. General Female Candidates: Rs-4000/- for a single paper
  3. (Gen-EWS/OBC)(NCL) Male Candidates: Rs:-4500/- for a single paper
  4. (Gen/EWS/OBC)(NCL) Female Candidates: Rs:-4000/- for a single paper
  5. SC/ST/PWD/Transgender Candidates: Rs:-2500/- for a single paper

For those opting to appear in more than one paper (E.g. B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch), the fees will be higher. The fee structure for multiple papers is also tiered according to category and exam location
